Florian Kemmerich is an impact investor, business growth strategist, and author driven by his guiding principle: “Impact Lives, Share Profits.” He is Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Human Planet a global platform dedicated to stewarding capital and leadership toward long-term value creation across people, planet, and prosperity. Human Planet works at the intersection of purpose, performance, and systems change, supporting the design and scaling of enterprises that generate durable financial returns while contributing positively to society and the natural world.
Over the past two decades, Florian has mobilised close to US$1 billion in capital toward purpose-driven enterprises, working at the intersection of finance, strategy, and systemic impact. Beyond Human Planet, he is a co-founder and board member of several impactful organisations that support founders and leadership teams in building scalable, resilient, and mission-aligned businesses.
In his book On Vocation: How to Align Your Purpose with Your Profession (Routledge, 2025), Florian distills his experience into a practical seven-step framework to help individuals integrate purpose, profession, and systemic impact. The book reflects his journey and offers tools for building a meaningful career aligned with global challenges and personal values.
A globally active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), Florian has initiated impactful initiatives such as the Global Impact Report, co-founded the Planet Action Network, and the North Star Chapter. His work continues to engage fellow YPO members in combining profit & purpose to make sustainability a core business driver. He is Chair of TIGER 21 in Switzerland and, in the past, launched a healthcare foundation in Mexico serving the marginalized population in rural areas.
In addition to his professional achievements, Florian is a passionate musician, a former paratrooper (including the American wings), fluent in five languages (German, English, Spanish, French, and Italian), and a devoted husband and father of five. In his younger years, he was an International Judo Champion, part of the German national team (U21), and competed in the 1. Bundesliga.
