Through the signature MetLife LifeChanger regional initiative, MetLife Foundation facilitates grants to JA member countries across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa (MENA), where MetLife volunteers take an active role in preparing for and delivering sessions.

MetLife Foundation and local MetLife volunteers are key partners driving JA Europe’s and INJAZ Al-Arab’s Progression Model, through which students are introduced to increasingly challenging entrepreneurial concepts as they progress through their educational careers, from gaining a general understanding of the economy during primary school to real-life entrepreneurship experiences once they’re teenagers.

In MENA, the MetLife LifeChanger initiative supports seven JA programs at 67 schools in Egypt, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Programs like JA Be Entrepreneurial, JA It’s My Business, JA Innovation Camp, and JA Steer Your Career are activating Arab youth for the future of jobs.

In Europe, students in Bulgaria, Cyprus, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, and the UK are building lifelong entrepreneurial skills. JA offices in Russia, Slovakia, and Spain also utilize MetLife Foundation funding to host job-shadow days, financial workshops, and innovation camps.
